MYOB Acumatica Error: "Order Line Not Found" When Syncing Purchase Order Progress Claim

Problem Description

This error occurs when attempting to sync or create an AP Bill for a purchase order in MYOB Acumatica. The system is unable to process the bill because it expects a PO Receipt to be entered first.

Root Cause

MYOB Acumatica's default workflow requires purchase orders to go through a receipt process before bills can be created. When this setting is enforced, attempting to create a bill directly without a receipt will result in the "Order Line not found" error.

Solution

To allow AP Bills to be created before receipts are entered, you need to enable a specific setting at the vendor level.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Navigate to the Supplier/Vendor Record
   • Go to the Suppliers screen
   • Open the relevant vendor record (e.g., Test Supplier)
2. Access Purchase Settings
   • Click on the PURCHASE SETTINGS tab
   • Locate the RECEIPT ACTIONS section
3. Enable the Setting
   • Check the box labeled "Allow AP Bill Before Receipt"
   • This setting is found under Purchase Settings → Receipt Actions
4. Save the Vendor Record
   • Save your changes to the vendor

Important Notes

• New Purchase Orders Only: This setting will automatically apply to NEW purchase orders created after enabling this option.
• Existing Purchase Orders: The setting will NOT retroactively apply to existing purchase orders.
• Missing Section: If you don't see the "Receipt Actions" section in Purchase Settings, this workflow restriction may not be enabled in your MYOB Acumatica instance, and this shouldn't be causing your issue
